That is quite expensive. Doubly so if you have to buy 2 for 4 player support, eep.
That and nothing they've demonstrated so far appeals to me.

According to Korean site ETNews.co.kr (http://www.etnews.co.kr/news/detail.html?id=201103310029&mc=m_901_00005), Apple is planning on releasing the iPhone 5 during the 4th week of June. Multiple reports have already revealed (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/03/28/no-hardware-announcements-at-wwdc-2011/)
I reckon that this is when the white iPhone 4 will be released with very slight upgrades, and also the black will have the same updates. Still ios 4 and the same design, just some glitches improved. Just to tide people over until the end of fall/2012 for the all new iPhone 5.
I could be completely wrong - but thats just what I think will happen!

^Yeah that seems to be common... My macbook went up 10˚ as well, to about 51˚C.
Fans are the same though.. is that a good thing?

I tried it out at the store. There's like a .5 second delay in registering your movement. So it doesn't seem to work too great with twitch gaming as you have to anticipate your move too much.
The fitness one is pretty cool though since it doesn't really matter than much. Didn't get to try dancing, and didn't see anyone do that either since it appears everyone is too shy. But I imagine its similar to the fitness game in terms of operation.
The Playstation one is better for those twitch games imo.

im hoping this quietly fixes the unresponsive home button issue.
I've been having problems with the home button on my iPhone, but figured it was just the hardware going bad. Perhaps not? Is this an issue many have been experiencing?
The trouble I experience is that sometimes when I double-click the home button, it takes me to the search screen rather than the multitasking bar. Other times when I double-click the home button (or even single-click it), it does nothing at all. Is that what you're also talking about?
And the biggest question of all does this update fix it?

They cheated. You can't bash it up and fold it in half before you blend it.
Result: Will the iPad blend? = Inconclusive

Xserve lags so far behind the Mac Pro in release, costs much more, has little to make it better and just as much to make it worse. I would love to have an Xserve, but I don't understand why anyone would buy one.

3D audio cues? How would you get anything above 1D audio cues?
Stereo speakers. Most of use can tell if a sound is in front of us or behind or above or below and we only have two ears. You can make 3D recording with ony two channles but the playback geometry has to be near perfect. Synthetic sound cues are not recordings and it need not be perfect to work. All it would have to convey is any one of six basic directions and the users will all be trained to listen for it carfully and wiling to set up the speakers in exact locations. It might be helpfull to someone who is blind. I know some one who is and he can sometimes tell who enters a room and from where before the person speaks. If this is the target user then it need not be perfect or even natural sounding

On the issue of installing software and copying music/movies without a disk drive. Am I the only one that avoids disks as much as possible already? If I can't immediately download an application I'm considerably less interested in purchasing it. I can think of only two pieces of software I bought this year that came on physical media and one of them was Logic. I've downloaded about 18GB of software just since yesterday (some Adobe demos and Steam games) and I hardly have the best connection in the world. I'm ready for physical media to die.

I can't get excited for this, because i like having a disk, all the extras on it and in the case. And i highly doubt anime will be on it.

Same hereIll have to set my location manually. (But I think the GPS issue is not due to my location, but due to an Apple bug. Lots of people on Apples boards have had it, starting with OS 3.0.)
Im hoping this app proves to be of some use (not that well ever know) OUTSIDE of big urban centers. AT&T does keep expanding their coverage in small cities and rural areas, and therefore they must be making decisions on where to spend. Having reports come in from a given location may effect those spending priorities.
So my friends who live in a dead zone will be the subject of AT&T outage reports from me. Likewise some rural relatives. Who knowsthe nearest tower may get an upgrade (or whatever) sooner as a result of reports like mine. All of the above do have a trace of signal within a block, but it peters to nothing at their actual house. So close and yet so far.
(EDIT: Id say AT&Ts online zoomable maps (http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/) are very accurate in reflecting these little local dead zones, too. Must be geography. So get taller towers please :) )
You can drag the map to the manually accurate location.

Thank you all for your help so far! I'm getting closer to some conclusions thanks to you!
The speed of my internet connection has been brought up a couple times, I have a T1 connection and plenty of bandwidth.
[...]
These look great, but I'm thinking I might be able to build something to meet my needs for less money. I have the skills to put a server together and set it up, this is just my first time creating a rig from the ground up. Thoughts?
In answer to your earlier question about memory, if are just pushing files, maybe email and calendars to ten users (usually 2 or three), you probably don't "need" more than 8GB. You could go with 16GB. Don't get the memory from Apple as you will pay a premium. That is an easy cost saver there, but it only costs $400 to take it to 16GB, so on a $25k project, that might not be too much.
I'm not sure what you mean by "T1" for network connection. If it is a traditional T1, that is only about 1.5Mbps - which isn't really that fast. I have 20Mbps down/4 Mbps up from my cable company (but that is for residential use). Up speed is going to be important if you are serving files.
If I were building a rig for a business, I would try to get as much stuff that is turnkey as possible rather than building major parts myself. Time is money and you will spend a lot of time building a rig - and then having to maintain it. You are better off investing in one of the (expensive) arrays listed about (or similar). You just plug it into a rack and your MacPro and you will be good to go. Plus, at least a couple of those listed had redundant power supplies, etc. That is going to give you a lot of confidence in system availability (downtime, which is also money).

As a grain of salt, readers are reminded that Apple routinely patents technology that never makes it into shipping products.
Yeah, but no, but yeah, but no, but yeah.
Though, how great would it be to have a deck overlay for mixing music? I'd be in heaven.

We have 4 iPhones in the family. Two of the four had this issue and Apple exchanged both without a second thought. Take it back.

Great app, especially since I have an EyeTV.
But while it works fine on my 64 GB iPod Touch, the performance of the app on my iPhone 3G is not good. The video takes a very long time to load (compared to the iPod Touch) and it only plays for a few seconds before it pauses to load more content (the Touch runs continuously). Not sure if this has to do with my Touch having a lot more free space available than the iPhone, or if the improved CPU in the Touch makes a difference.
