Two words: UI responsiveness. The huge boost the A4 provides makes the iPhone 4 worlds better than the iPhone 3/3GS.
Actually unfortunately that's exactly iOS problem. Since 3.x and especially with 4.x iOS has become completely bloatware. The 3G was nearly unusable with the first 4.x version. With 4.3.x the battery life with the 3GS and iPhone 4 really sucks (something like minus 20% compared to 4.2). It seems iOS now needs a fast new processor and new better hardware for every new release.
And that's really a bad thing and reminds me of the Windows 95, 98 era. Apple really made some bad design errors there. iOS needs a major overhaul if it wants to stay competitive and not end like Symbian in maybe 3 years. Android's overhaul is Honeycomb, Microsoft started WP7 and RIM now uses (or will use) QNX. Just Apple didn't realize that the smartphone world changed since 2007.
Edit: BTW: I personally think that WP7 will be the next "big thing". Microsoft dictates the hardware, vendors aren't allowed to modify the OS look and feel (they learned that from Windows). MS is strict on the market place. And they now have Nokia that sold 31 million smartphone the last quarter (+4 million compared to the quarter before - they only currently lose marketshare because they are growing slower than the market, like Apple too BTW). And the foundation of WP7 (complete GPU support within the GUI, etc.) is really superior to Android and in some parts even better than iOS (for example when it comes to kinetic scrolling in really large lists).

I happen to have the displeasure of knowing a good many more than I'd like to, and I'm telling you there's no way that a full 45% of that student body are blue-blooded Mac users. Princetonians are a people lacking utterly in subtlety and charm, and even poorer in aesthetic intuition. They're the people who pose with upturned collars! I can't stress strongly enough: These people aren't Mac users. They're switcheurs.
Has it occured to you that your smug elitism and gross stereotyping is exactly why lots of people hate Ivy Leaguers in the first place?
You should at least recognize that time change. Some Ivy League schools were aggressively phasing out Macs less than a decade ago, and as recent as five years ago. That's enough time for the undergrad population to turn over several times.

So much for Apple dominating when Verizon gets the iphone. Android is the Microsoft of this decade and Apple is Apple again. Their greed and arrogance is going to bite them in the ass again . The writing is on the wall.

I'm having the same problem
Not working for me - I'm getting "Router incompatible" even though Elgato says the Apple Airport Express is fine.

Now that I think about it, the post about the HD content taking up so much room is right on. I don't thing 120GB will be enough for all my HD episodes of jericho and enterprise. Much less all my other stuff thats on there.
Use the AppleTV for downloaded shows (rumor is HD versions are coming?).
If you fill the HD up, upgrade it (http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/23/how-to-upgrade-the-drive-in-your-apple-tv/) and put a new one in (if you're tech savvy and don't mind voiding the warranty).

Are people as outraged by this leak as I am? I can't believe it. He just stole Steve's thunder at a later secret event. This will end up costing Apple the element of surprise and the impact of a special Steve announcement. We've got to punish Lion's Gate somehow. We need to boycott all of their films and show that they cannot mess with Apple. The mothership is under attack! Who's with me?
Wow my sarcasm meter is reading exactly neutral. *smacks it* It can't tell if that post was in jest or not. Unfortunately I left my fanboy meter at home. :p
it may be a nice feature to download movies if the format was a good enough quality to watch on my high res display.
I think most of the known world would settle for DVD quality other wise what would be the point? It's easier to buy used at Blockbuster or Hollywood Video and just rip it for your own personal use. Most used movies now a days runs in the $14 range for first run movies. $12 for older flicks and $10 for stuff that they had massive overstock on. I just picked up Memoirs of a Geisha for $12 last week. Both disks were also flawless (I ask to see before I buy.) I just don't see a need for such a thing on iTMS other then impulse buys. You are about to take a flight in a couple hours and you want to check out Finding bingo...No that's not it. Finding Nero...No still not right. Nemo. Yah You want to watch Finding Nemo and don't have time to run to the video store. Drop into ITMS and D/L it while you finish you packing. Or then there is the 10PM stay at home evening with the 3' snow drifts. Better to D/L a movie they go out.

At the very least, it would be nice to have tablet functionality (possibly a BTO option) in the bottom half of an Apple laptop.

nope. you'd need to own/be the IT guy of an educational institution
no, you can not.
you go to college or grad school, or become a teacher.Actually you can.
http://www.apple.com/education/store/
After you pick which school you go to you can make a purchase in either Individual or Institutional store. Still, you might be redirected by your school's "custom Mac" pick for their school. Ugh!

Sadly, this recommendation has a lot of merit. I don't know about the UK, but here in the states, the pre-college school system is systemically boring. Hardly a day goes by that my kids are not skilled-drilled and tested so schools can prove they are "teaching" the kids.
Well here in New Zealand you need to get NCEA levels from high school in order to get any job, so studying to get those NCEA levels is pretty important :)

Sounds like you should try another OS, maybe Wndows.
I'm pretty happy with 10.6, and I'm glad Apple trimmed it down instead of bloating it up. But I would like a different launcher than the current Dock. I have lots if programs I regularly use. I use folders in the Dock, but that's no better than Wndows' drop-down menus. Maybe it would be more efficient to have a trigger like the one for Dashboard -- hit a function key and your most-used apps glide in for selection.
Funny, I thought the same!

I love it when Google/Samsung/Sony/Motorola employees create new MacRumors accounts (join date Mar 2011) just to try to propagate garbage like this. Obviously trying to start a new antennagate. If you can't beat them in sales, try to start some bogus stories in the blogs and hope the media picks up on it.

I wish Apple would at least go on the record to say "no iLife" or "iLife with leopard" or "iLife soon."
I have some projects lined up and it would be nice to wait for some new themes for iDVD. If I had some sort of idea of when its coming out it would make me feel better about starting or holding off certian projects.

I hope it works out for you, I just think you may be affected by a bit of a reality distortion field and your actual user experience may differ from your imaginary scenario.
Which one of these new features (64 bit support, magnetic timeline, audio sample level precision inside the frame, precision editor, etc) do you think would slow my editing process down vs now and why?

They recently changed their website menu bar to Liquid Metal Black:
http://images.apple.com/global/nav/images/globalsearch_bg.png
What makes you think Liquid metal is black anyhow ? It's no blacker than aluminium which can be anodized black or Carbon fiber which can be painted a light shade of grey.
Seriously folks, that black macbook concept art could be made out of anything, as much as their "dark" look can represent any material on their site. It has nothing to do with supposed Liquid Metal or Carbon Fiber or Aluminum.
